I stood here, by foot, in South Africa. Eye to eye with a large white rhino, feeling tiny in the presence of this wild creature dominating the rugged bushes.
The essence of life lies in the act of being alive. It is clear, evident, and remarkably simple. Yet, everyone rushes around in a great panic, as if it were necessary to achieve something beyond themselves.
Despite our sense of importance, within the safety of cars and houses in our Western lives, in the vastness of nature, we are minuscule.
May facing this wild beauty be a reminder of the simple joy and privilege of being alive & immersed in the untamed wonders of the world.
