The power of a horse
is fleeting.
I even got a headbutt recently.
Before you know it, you're standing there,
lights out for ten seconds.
It comes, it goes.
The effect often lingers
a little longer.
Spring blooms,
summer glows,
autumn lets go,
and winter grows still.
The gallop of the horse seems to slowly fade,
its energy flowing into something intangible.
Like the rhythm of nature. Nothing lasts forever.

From Marjo's hand
My grandfather was a watercolour artist. I learned to paint with his brushes, the same ones I still paint with today.
I was an equine veterinarian for fifteen years. I know the power of a horse from very close by, and how quickly it passes. That is what Ephemeral holds.
